Product Description
GT4 Caliper 4 Pot Brake Kit Bracket For BMW F85 Rear 385*24mm
We can offer Brembo GT4 4 pot brake kit for different car model
The picture is custom made for BMW F85 Rear. You can choose caliper color and bracket color
Please offer your car model and wheel rim size before order
We also sell other 4 pot brake kit. Such as Brembo F50/Brembo F40/AP5200/AP5040/AP9200/AP7600 etc
AP / Brembo brake installation steps
1. Remove the wheel
2. Remove the original brake caliper and original brake disc
3. Clean the wheel hub surface (remove the rust on the surface with a steel brush or copper brush, which is the contact surface with the brake disc)
4. Clean the surface of sheep horn ear (remove the rust or fixing glue on the surface with steel brush, copper brush, blade or fine sandpaper)
5. Install and tighten the AP brake caliper and brake disc (fasten the brake disc to the wheel hub with wheel nuts or bolts)
6. Measure the clearance between the brake caliper and the brake disc with a feeler gauge
The ideal clearance is: upper left = lower left = upper right = lower right, i.e. a = B
Generally, upper left = lower left ≥ 1.0mm, while upper right = lower right ≥ 1.0mm
(the upper and lower clearance can allow a deviation of 0.1-0.2mm)
7. If the clearance does not meet the above standards, please use thin shims to adjust the clearance between the brake caliper and the brake disc
Adjustment method: place the 0.5mm gasket between the caliper support and the horn ear as appropriate
8. Fasten the brake caliper with a torque wrench (it is better to apply screw fixing glue to the thread to prevent loosening)
Tightening force: M10 screw 60N m
M12 screw 75n m
M14 screw 100N m
9. Remove the original brake hose
10. Install the brake steel throat and adjust the position and angle (it should be considered that the brake steel throat cannot touch the surrounding parts when the wheel moves up and down and rotates left and right)
11. Replace the brake oil, exhaust the air and clean the brake surface.
12. Install the wheel and tighten the wheel screws (or nuts) to the specified torque with a torque wrench.
Note:
Most of the upgraded multi piston brake calipers are equipped with piston parts with different sizes, which aims to provide better step-by-step and linear braking force and braking foot feel. The relative relationship between the piston part of the brake caliper and the forward direction of the brake disc (i.e. the running direction of the vehicle most of the time) must be from small to large
If the brake is installed reversely, the impact will be mainly reflected in: the braking efficiency is reduced and unstable, and the brake foot feel is reduced and unstable. Due to the structural relationship, the brake oil may be drained incompletely, resulting in brake failure. Therefore, the direction of the brake caliper must be recognized and cannot be installed reversely
