products information
Why some calipers are in the front and some are in the back:
1. Suspension structure, generally front-drive vehicles, the steering rod is behind the axle, so the calipers are arranged in the front. Other mid-mounted engines have some steering rods in the front, which will cause the calipers to move back. The impact of the rear suspension is similar. The torsion beam and multi-link are also considered to be the final arrangement of the calipers and the direction of the parking cable.
2. The front and back of the caliper will affect the force of the hub bearing. One direction will increase the force of the hub bearing, and the other will decrease, but the force will always change under different decelerations, but this effect should be small.
3. The impact of muddy water invasion and heat dissipation. But it also has little effect, because the front and rear are basically not arranged under the axle (correction, there is really one arranged under the axle in the impression). The braking system is designed for heat resistance. If the angle has such a big influence on heat dissipation, the heat capacity is designed to be too watery.
Automobile manufacturers generally determine the position of the caliper as follows:
Carry out CFD analysis on the disc brake, input virtual mud signal, and simulate the area with relatively small mud influence by the software, and install the caliper in this area. Therefore, the car caliper has no fixed position, which varies from factory to factory and from model to model.
Brake calipers are caliper devices that have the functions of decelerating, stopping or maintaining a stopped state of the moving wheels, and are generally only used in disc brake systems. The working principle of a disc brake can be described by a plate. When you pinch the rotating plate with your thumb and index finger, the plate will stop rotating. The thumb and index finger act as a brake caliper.
The installation position of the caliper has little effect on safety and braking performance. Its main purpose is to better control the body dynamics and the body posture in emergencies. The position of the caliper will be different according to the design purpose of the vehicle. The caliper behind the front axle can better control the body posture than in front of the front axle. When the tire rolls forward, the force generated by the road surface is upward, so the caliper is in front of the front axle. When braking, it will press down against the force, and the front axle seems to have a kind of force during somersaults. Therefore, the head will be more serious when the vehicle brakes suddenly, and vice versa behind the front axle. The rear axle should be less effective than the front axle. When braking, inertia will shift the center of gravity like the front axle.
